Earlier this week, we noted that Apple has begun allowing users on older versions of iOS to download older versions of their previously purchased apps. This feature exists because some iOS users are running hardware that no longer supports newer versions of App Store applications.

Google releases Google Wallet app for iPhone





Following the launch of an all new Google Wallet app for Android that brought the service to all Android devices in the US and customers on Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile, today Google has launched an official Google Wallet app for iOS devices.

More Than Meets the Eye: Flipboard Now Optimized for iOS 7





With today’s release, Flipboard is ready for iOS 7, the re-envisioned version of Apple’s mobile operating system. Apple’s design team has done away with the visual metaphors that helped people learn how to use their iPhones and iPads—like shading on keyboard buttons to indicate a 3D surface.

Apple Posts First iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c Product Videos





The first of the three videos introduces the colorful, lower-cost iPhone 5c, with Jony Ive explaining that Apple believes the iPhone "is an experience" the company is continuing to refine.

Apple to let users send Maps directions from OS X to iPhone, sync notifications between platforms





Apple announced today that it will bring its controversial Maps app to OS X Mavericks, the newest version of its desktop operating system. With requisite features like Flyover, it will allow users to look up 3D maps and directions.

Apple announces iOS 7 with overhauled interface, custom keyboard support and more





Apple is launching iOS 7 today, having announced 600 million iOS devices sold since 2007. Buoyed by a brand new user interface, the update will be the biggest change to the operating system since the iPhone was announced six years ago.

Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom leaks online





Samsung is expanding their Galaxy family of devices past the flagship Galaxy S4, Galaxy S4 Active and Galaxy S4 mini. We’ll see the Active and mini during their “Premier” event on June 20th, but the rumoured Galaxy S4 Zoom has surfaced in a press shot, plus live images.

BlackBerry A10 rumoured to launch in November





New reports, courtesy of CNET, of the next-generation BlackBerry have rushed online today. The report indicates that BlackBerry will be releasing a “higher-quality design” device called the A10. This will be their new flagship BlackBerry 10 smartphone and will sport an all-touchscreen display.

Wind Mobile mulls offer for Mobilicity





Wind Mobile would like to open talks to buy Mobilicity in a bid to create a fourth national wireless competitor, CEO Anthony Lacavera said Wednesday. Wind Mobile is already the fourth-largest wireless carrier in Ontario, British Columbia and Alberta, Lacavera said.

Cupertino Releases Draft Environmental Impact Report for Apple Campus 2





The City of Cupertino has released their draft Environmental Impact Report for the proposed Apple Campus 2 project and has invited the public for comment. Cupertino summarizes the proposal of Apple’s proposed campus, which is set to house 13,000 employees.
