Earlier this week, we noted that Apple has begun allowing users on older versions of iOS to download older versions of their previously purchased apps. This feature exists because some iOS users are running hardware that no longer supports newer versions of App Store applications.

Google releases Google Wallet app for iPhone





Following the launch of an all new Google Wallet app for Android that brought the service to all Android devices in the US and customers on Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile, today Google has launched an official Google Wallet app for iOS devices.

With today’s release, Flipboard is ready for iOS 7, the re-envisioned version of Apple’s mobile operating system. Apple’s design team has done away with the visual metaphors that helped people learn how to use their iPhones and iPads—like shading on keyboard buttons to indicate a 3D surface.

Apple Posts First iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c Product Videos





The first of the three videos introduces the colorful, lower-cost iPhone 5c, with Jony Ive explaining that Apple believes the iPhone "is an experience" the company is continuing to refine.

Apple to let users send Maps directions from OS X to iPhone, sync notifications between platforms





Apple announced today that it will bring its controversial Maps app to OS X Mavericks, the newest version of its desktop operating system. With requisite features like Flyover, it will allow users to look up 3D maps and directions.

Apple announces iOS 7 with overhauled interface, custom keyboard support and more





Apple is launching iOS 7 today, having announced 600 million iOS devices sold since 2007. Buoyed by a brand new user interface, the update will be the biggest change to the operating system since the iPhone was announced six years ago.
